Singer Miley Cyrus slammed musical artists who launched to stardom by posting clips to YouTube, as she promoted her first tour in Australia.

"It should be harder to be an artist. You shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour," Cyrus said when asked about singers like Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black, who got their start on the video sharing website.

Off-again, on-again besties Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato rekindled their friendship over dinner last weekend.

of filming an “alternative series” for the Disney
Channel in which she will prank other young stars
 a la Ashton Kutcher in MTV’s Punk’d.

“Selena shot the pilot and it’s basically like Ashton
 Kutcher’s old show but with the Disney kids,” a
source tells the website. “Selena was having
a ton of fun with it. She’s a goof ball at heart.”

Selena Gomez really took the dress code seriously!

 

The 18-year-old teen sensation surprised party goers at blogger Perez Hilton‘s birthday party on Saturday night by making an appearance, and Selena’s get up really put the blue-themed bash on another level.

We’re all for uniqueness and individualism and all that stuff when it comes to fashion, but Mary-Kate and Ashley‘s looks? Um, no. The girls both wore head-to-toe YSL at last night’s Met Opera event in NYC and we think we’re just a bit more confused than blown away. Those girls are billionaires. Literally. Shouldn’t they be dressing that way?!

Selena Gomez stopped by Sirius XM’s radio show “The Morning Mash Up” to talk about “Who Says,” but the radio host only wanted to talk about Biebs. We don’t blame him.

When he asked Selena if she encourages Justin Bieber to grow his mustache (or, um, “mustache”), she said that she definitely does not. And she made sure to let him know that she doesn’t like it, too.

Selena Gomez: I actually don’t.
Radio host: Did you tell him that?
Selena Gomez: Of course I did.
Radio host: But he’s doing it anyway?
Selena Gomez: Yeah.
Radio host: Part of being a man is growing a mustache… It’s like girls like to mess with their hairdos.
Selena: Well… he needs a little more time… No, I like [facial hair] it. You got to commit. You can’t just have a little one.
Radio host: A soul patch?
Selena Gomez: I don’t like that.

In the wake of the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Demi Lovato is pulling out all the stops to help out victims and their families.

 The Sonny with a Chance star was spotted in Los Angeles holding up a Japanese flag with the words “Please Help” written in black pen – a subtle way to encourage fans and celebrity-watchers to donate money for relief efforts. Demi has also reportedly donated $1 million to relief efforts in Japan.

The FBI went to Vanessa's lawyer's office to meet with her in Century City, CA.  The meeting lasted more than an hour and agents got info that we're told leads to one individual who may have hacked 50 A-list celebs.

We're told Scarlett Johansson was hacked by the same individual, who leads a ring of hackers.
